Can I transfer both my shares and loan from another lender to CommSec?

Yes. This is referred to as refinancing your loan. If you are new to CommSec you can do this as part of the application process for a CommSec Margin Loan. You can nominate to have all or part of your existing loan refinanced. To get started, select Products > Margin Loan > Apply Now.

If you are an existing CommSec Margin Lending client, CommSec can refinance all or part of your loan from your current lender.

Please note: that if your loan is calculated to be in buffer or margin call at the time of refinancing, action must be taken by you to reduce your gearing levels (increase your percentage of equity) prior to CommSec accepting the transfer.

To initiate this request, log in to your CommSec trading account and complete a "Refinance Request Form" which you can find online at: Help > Forms & Brochures > Margin Lending
